United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

Chairs: Felipe Soto and Gabriel Bu

The fight against drugs and crime has become a problem on an international scale. Yet, the real action takes place at the national and local levels. That is why policies recommended to solve this problem must think globally but act locally, and take into account the cultural background of the affected areas. In this committee, we will be discussing the spread of organized crime and drug trade in Latin America, as well as prisoner extradition. These topics will engage delegates in spirited debates and regarding new policies and international action that could be taken. Creativity is paramount since previous international actions have been futile. This committee will also involve a crisis element, with delegates reacting to external developments in real time. Another aspect that makes this committee unique is that it will be working in partnership with organizations such as Interpol and the DEA.

Step forward and volunteer to fight against the the spread of crime and drugs! Your country needs you!
