United Nations Human Rights Council

Welcome delegates to the United Nations Human Rights Council. This council focuses on protecting Human Rights throughout the world. This council needs to make an effort to protect every person’s human rights in every country of the world. You will be focusing on two key human rights issues and working with others in order to create solutions to these problems. Remember though, your personal opinion and the stance of your country might not align, but you must defend the position you are assigned!
The topics of this session will be marriage equality and euthanasia. These are two very controversial topics for many countries around the world. Many countries will not agree and therefore a division will be visible, but as delegates you must reach common ground and try to find a solution that is amenable to everyone. This committee will be packed with strong opinions and heated debate, so you must be ready to make your voice heard and your opinions noticed.
